I was shocked when I found out I had a flea problem. I was overwhelmed, but then I found a product that eliminated fleas and it was easy to do.

Have you noticed an itch your pet has that doesn't seem to go away? Is there an itch on you that seems to be spreading? Are you just starting to realize it could be a flea infestation?

Fleas are a serious problem for many pet owners. However, your pet is not the only carriers of this pest. Fleas hitch a ride on anyone or any animal on their way in the house. This happens to many of us. I found some info on how to help this problem, but before that lets start with just a little knowledge.

What are the signs of a flea infestation?

1. Itchy Pet

Does one of your pets itch more than normal? A pet being itchy is usually the first sign, but not the only. Your pet may simply have a rash or dry skin from too much sun. Even really cold weather conditions will make them itchy.

2. Little Red Bumps

There are usually little red itchy bumps that appear around your ankles and if your children play on the floor they could have them all over. These bumps disappear in just a few days.

How do you get rid of fleas in your home?

Well, first you have to know that you must take a few hours to get this process done, because you have to rid the house, the yard, and the pets at the same time or the fleas will just come back again.

(1) Rid Your Pet of Fleas

* Comb Out Pets - Get a flea comb and comb out all the fleas from their fur.

* Use Flea Powder - Evenly spread powder over your pet. This kills those flea eggs and larvae so they don't grow up to multiply into another flea infestation.

(2) Clean The House

* Start with cleaning all the surfaces in your home. Don't forget to do the counters, cabinets, any tables, and the floors. To ensure the fleas are all gone, also do the floors and surfaces in the basement and garage. It's humid there and fleas will be hiding in these areas.

* Vacuum all areas of the home. When vacuuming get those dark corners with the vacuum attachment. These are some of a fleas favorite areas.

* Put flea powder evenly on carpets.

* Wash couch surfaces and bedding in all bedrooms and sprinkle flea powder over them.

(3) Rid Yard

* Take that same flea powder and evenly coat the lawn and concrete.

* Repeat before every summer season

Important Note: Don't start any of this process before reading all the warnings and labels on the product you are using. Most products are toxic and can harm you, your pets, or your children. Most products are also harmful on gardens and toxic to people if spread on food gardens and consumed by you, or anyone else.
